Web communities aren't just "companies" they are actual communities. In this case, SI is not a unique community so members can choose among several alternatives if they think their "home" is getting run down or just too quiet. I have relatives who work for Web-based companies and spend lots of time stoking up participation from their members. I expected something like that from the new wizards behind the curtain here but alas, our new owner made all of two posts on a site where the long-term members count their postings in the thousands and thousands. I don't think they get it.
