I hope they do, but do you think the Dems are going to get a majority in both houses again any time soon? In my state, we just went GOP after being firm supporters of the Dems and Obama the first go round. That was a bit disappointing, because we have a long history of bipartisanship in my state. Now, it's all GOP nonsense all the time. I think a lot of centrists and independents like me got fed up with Obama, because he seems to have doubled down on a lot of Bush Jr policies, especially those that shit on our civil liberties and the Constitution. That's turned a lot of people off.

Anyway, truth is I"m not too worried about SS. Everyone wants SS, so eventually that will get solved. I'm starting to get more and more worried about climate change though. I'm also getting worried we're about to go to war in Syria. Why is it the American people need to be the world's police? I know it is terrible what Assad is doing over there, but if we go after Assad, does that mean we go after the North Korean dictator too, who commits worse atrocities on his people every day?

We need to get our of this idea that we must police the world. We really need to focus on our own problems for a decade or so and the let the world figure out their own issues.
