Well the Obama presidency seems to be flushing them out. The North has had its share of racists but I have never seen it displayed so blatantly....esp by R politicians. I guess its why minorities prefer southern racists.....minorities know where they stand with them. But what really cracks me up about juror 37 is that she didn't realize til the next day how racist she sounded until she saw the reaction nationally. How can someone be so oblivious in this day and age?

It is Florida, what do you expect? When my parents moved to Tampa in the mid-1970s, I was appalled at the casual, open racism. Note that I grew up in Beaumont, Texas. There is a small town just north of it, named Vidor, that had a chapter of the KKK.

So it isn't like I had never been exposed to racism. But Florida was different.
