re the state of the union, it is much worse than i thought teapartytribune.com Ex-CIA Agent Releases Code Buried in Book Kevin Shipp, a decorated CIA agent, has revealed the CIA’s use of secrecy to cover up negligence and Constitutional violations. In the critically acclaimed book From the Company of Shadows, he uses an embedded code in the manuscript to expose sections of the book blacked out by the CIA, which detail his family’s toxic exposure and the subsequent CIA cover up. While working as a senior officer on a secret government base, his family was subjected to severe toxic exposure, living in the house they were assigned to by the government. They were bleeding from their noses, vomiting, bruising all over their body, bed-ridden with severe headaches requiring morphine, lost their short-term memory and suffered from strange rashes on the exposed areas of their skin. Doctor’s diagnoses and environmental tests showed exposure to poisonous toxins. The house was quarantined – while workers in hazmat suits boxed up all of the family’s items, including the children’s toys, and took them away in boxes to be burned. After a break-in to their house, the family being spied on and followed, documents being altered and Shipp’s career being threatened, he and his family filed a personal injury suit against the CIA. The CIA signed a court ordered mediated settlement. Two days later, the CIA refused to abide by the agreement, threatening that if the family did not accept a lower settlement, it would invoke the State Secrets Privilege, shutting the case down, concealing it from Congress and the public. The family demanded the CIA abide by the signed legal agreement. After coercing a federal judge, the CIA used the privilege to shut the case down in a secret court – and placed a seal on it so no one, not even their Congressman and Senator, could have access to the evidence. The family was threatened with jail if they discussed the case with anyone. Chapter 26 of Shipp’s book discusses the ensuing cover-up. The CIA blacked out the majority of the chapter. The book was reviewed by the CIA and approved for publication. As a legacy to his children, to reveal their true story, Shipp built a code into the manuscript revealing the cover up. He is taking a significant personal risk in releasing the code now. “If they had just done this to me, I would have taken the hit and let it go. But they did it to my kids. You don’t mess with a man’s kids, and they thumbed their nose at the Constitution I was sworn to uphold. They have perfected this system and it has been used to conceal the injury and death of other Americans in the CIA and the US military,” Shipp said. The system of secrecy and cover up Shipp exposes in his book is being used to silence the witnesses in the Benghazi attack and prevent the families of Ambassador Stevens and the other three Americans from knowing what was behind the death of their loved ones. The NSA is using the State Secrets Privilege to shut down law suits against it regarding the domestic spying program and withhold information from Congress.
