TJ,

I really don't know what to think about the short term. In the article you referenced, Art Z believes business is softening. In another interview with Brad Mattson (see MTSN thread for a URL), Brad says that he's seeing 300mm pull-ins, hopes he'll be ready, but no longer has a buffer should things go wrong with the upgraded Aspen platform or process tools.

I can't believe that 300mm will never happen; or that the industry will decide that .35æm is good enough; or that clever people in various companies will quit innovating in their use of chips; etc.
Not all companies will be winners. I have no doubt about the leading equipment companies.

For me, it would hurt more to see a former holding triple after I sold than to be holding something that has temporarily underperformed.

Best,
Ian.

<I have to admit I am one confused cookie. I am watching
Lam, AMAT, NVLS and other have their earnings downgraded
and yet some of them have rising prices at a time like
this. Either there are a lot more people looking for
bloody stock to buy or there are fools about.>

You have to remember that everyone was upgrading them at the top, so conversly...............
