I've advocated for higher taxes and lower spending for quite some time. I'm a big advocate of balanced budgets. I don't believe in pulling forward growth and impoverishing my children. Right now, we have the greatest rich/poor divide in history. It started to accelerate under Bush Jr, with his two massive tax cuts, and it has continued to accelerate under Obama with his trickle down economic policies of QE and ZIRP, and giving free get out of jail cards to any banker who commits a crime. Both parties are destroying the middle class. Does the middle class even exist anymore? All I see are wealthy people and the others who are on some form of welfare.
