I wish Powell had his "facts" handy went he went to the UN and stated that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction. . It didn't matter. Cheney and his cohorts lied and fed him the wrong facts. As a General, he is on record as being against general wars. wars that have no goal. If it was not for him and HW Bush, the Desert Storm would have spun out of control. He is an accomplished person, a hero and I would not criticize him for not having asked for data. Instead, since he continues to work in the African American community. particularly the youths, he is in a better position than either you and me to know what is going on there.
