Good. I don't want public money going to private schools.
There is that--best solution probably would be publically funded "charter" schools, but if it came down to leaving a poor kid in a failing public school or going to a successful private charter I would choose the later--and so would you I bet if it was your kid sitting there in the failed school.

It will be interesting to see what the Federal courts do here---will federal racial policies (Justice's attorneys are arguing that this policy of Louisiana will make the failing public schools "too white" as more minorities will qualify for the vouchers than white kids) trump state educational goals and policies. Interesting conflict of legal rights here. Stay tuned.
