Jim, you'd have to go back a ways on the thread, but I believe LU has certain restriction to comply with in regard to stock acquisitions. For now, I think all acquisitions have to be cash, they may be able to use stock upon the anniversary of the spin-off date, but don't take my word on this, there was previous discussion on the thread with associated links, have fun....

At this time, I don't think it's possible, due to the restriction on the spinoff from T of LU. They can pay cash. When that restriction is over, I don't know. Maybe some have a better idea about it.

Frankly, I think BAY fits LU better; plus they have alliances already.
