Like in Egypt all we can do is send a message. We have limited options, none of them very good.

That is unless you think we, in collaboration with the EU, would set up an agency that has access to enough military power and funds to topple a Syria manage it for several decades as it gets rebuilt into a functional, democratic state. The US can not do it alone. Our mindset is too influenced by quarterly reports.

I think the world needs this. It is a shame it will never happen.
