Assad might have gassed those people to draw the Americans into the fight? So we might be walking into a trap. It is logical. If we enter the fight, the Russians and Chinese come to Assad's aid!!

Let me see if I've got this straight: An American president has accused an Arab dictator of using weapons of mass destruction against his own citizens. His attempts to remedy this via the UN have been vetoed by the Russians. UN weapons inspectors have been sen it, but it looks like the American president is ready to go to war directly without waiting for the inspectors to dick around for weeks then come up with some equivocal result. It is not yet known if the president will get a Congressional resolution authorizing the use of force, or how many allies he will be able to attract to his cause. Excuse me, have we not seen this movie before? The ironies of watching a remake with Barack Obama cast as the lead are rich and multifaceted. hat tip: Nadine.
