>>What a complete waste of a press release. Who on earth DIDN'T think that this product would retail in CompUSA and/or Computer City.

I disagree. Of the thousands of software titles released every year, only a handfull make it to the shelves of the major retailers. Imagine what would happen to the stock price if CompUSA had announced they were not going to carry PC Guru.

<<press release with no relevancy>> - Well, 9ball, I think you miss the big picture.

MXMX will be rolling out a series of releases. The first ones will announce distribution sources and retail outlets that will be carrying the product. The more they announce, the better we can assume sales will be. I prefer a series of releases of this nature than just a one-shot release listing all retailers, since news releases can be quickly forgotten. I think a steady roll out of this type of news will be supportive for the stock price and helps put some "tangibleness" in this product, which so far has only existed in our dreams.

Also, I doubt shipment numbers will be announced until the product actually ships. I would rather see a line up of retailers and mail order places getting in line to stock this product then a big release announcing the first mass-shipment numbers and have that release be right than guess and have to retract those numbers later.

So, I don't expect numbers until shipments begin. Then I think those numbers will be huge. Also, I think MXMX is just again keeping everyone informed as to the progress of the products release. Lining up sales channels is one part of that process and I am glad to see this very successful and encouraging news coming out.

And Ken's comments are correct - many titles are released, but shelf space is precious. Hope we see many more retailers jumping on board - we will need them to get the numbers we all hope for!

Looking forward to the next new weeks!!!!
