Hard to argue with your post. In fact, I agree with all of what you said. However, as I've said, Capitalism isn't the problem, but rather, it is laissez faire capitalism and crony-capitalism, which is the problem. Properly regulated Capitalism enables the creation and sustenance of great wealth and it lifts all most boats. Laissez faire or crony Capitalism results in all the wealth and power generated to be concentrated in the hands of the top 1%.

So this is why you have seen me so vociferous on this thread, arguing that Obama needs to put the bankers in jail and he needs to break up the big banks and regulate derivatives and end Citizens United and end the excesses of lobbyists.

Without action on those fronts, Capitalism becomes a terrible force for inequality, because it morphs into laissez faire and crony Capitalism, which is what we have today. And the results are evident for all to see. The top 1% are doing great, while everyone else suffers. You can thank Bush Jr. and Obama for that.
