I dunno. Obama wants to do something, even alone. Seems to me an attack is illegal; we're not in danger, and no international body will authorize it. That opens a can of worms.

koan, <Maybe we aren't going into Syria?> I hope you are right . It's not only a losing strategy.....and worse, there is no strategy. I understand the moral outrage of using chemical warfare, but drones aren't exactly a day at the beach either and we've been using them for ten years plus. We should get out of the middle east in total...... let the tribes that go back to the 8 centuries sort it out....with one caveat. If anyone fucks with Israel, we'll pound the crap out of them, and/or continue to load Israel up with the most sophisticated weapons as is our current strategy, get out of their way, and let them defend themselves. Our interventionist strategies haven't worked since Vietnam and we've continued to hurt or kill a lot of people on all sides since that time...hundreds of thousands of soldiers and civilians.
