I'm not saying our poor aren't better off than mud-hutters. Cheap cell phones aren't Iphones. The TV may be an old tube TV that you can get nearly for free now at any thrift store. A car may be a POS used car. Get real.

Would you prefer our poor lived like this:

In the US, about 89% of households owed one or more cars. (Worldwide, about 8% of people own a car).

.....the Chinese Buffet I used to frequent before it folded was off to one end of the shopping center. Because of that, anyone who frequented the place tended to park very near it......and somewhat separated from the rest of the vehicles in the lot. So.....I could see what these people were driving.........I'd say my 6 year old Honda FIT was one of the oldest and cheapest vehicles there...........a ton of late model SUVs and other expensive cars......recall a Mexican family getting out of a Land Rover........WTFs with that???..............yet they all go for the $6.45 all you can eat lunches..........well I guess not enough of them.

Be sure to listen to the part where the parents of one family eat every other day so their daughters can eat every day.
