#BENGHAZI: FOIA’s Denied, Ops Team Pulled From Search
August 31, 2013 | Filed under Barack Obama, Benghazi, Hillary Clinton, Libya | Posted by LL1885

It’s just under three weeks ago I updated on the Benghazi case. In that update, we had learned that Nakoula had granted an interview to the Daily Caller, witnesses and survivors were being hidden from Congress and that 400 surface to air missiles that were diverted to Libya were stolen by some ‘very ugly people’.

In the following update, I’ll cover the mainstream media finally denouncing the blame assigned to the YouTube video, the denial of one FOIA and information obtained from another, the pulling out of the investigative team in Benghazi and new meaning assigned to Hillary’s now famous outburst – What difference, at this point, does it make? Possibly a big one if the trail being abandoned leads back to Egypt.

Nakoula Finally Recognized

Over 11 months after the attack on Benghazi and the perpetration of a massive lie by this administration in which a YouTube video was blamed for the attack, the media has finally recognized Nakoula as a scapegoat. Sort of.

On August 13th, Jake Tapper of CNN filed the story Filmmaker of movie initially blamed for Benghazi attacks: Obama administration was irresponsible.

Asked how he felt when the administration tied his film to the attack by armed militants that killed Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans, Nakoula said he was shocked.

“Because, you know, I never thought, my movie can cause anyone trouble or anyone can get killed from my movie,” he said.

Asked if he thought the administration put him in danger, Nakoula declined to comment. But he said the government is “hiding” him.

He said he personally likes President Barack Obama but says his administration was irresponsible over the Benghazi matter, highlighted in television appearances by then U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice. She said it appeared that the Benghazi attack was linked to protests over the movie, which were later proved untrue.

“I don’t blame him. He has a lot of responsibility,” Nakoula said of Obama, but adding a message for his administration.

“Guys, before you do anything, please give yourself time to think about it, because you are responsible people. You are in a place – you have to be responsible in it,” he said.

Yes, ‘think about it and be responsible’. Newsflash: This administration has not taken responsibility for any of its actions. I doubt it ever will.

It was confirmed that the YouTube video was a ‘ non-event‘ in Libya. The question still remains how this video, which had next to no views on it when the attack on Benghazi happened, became the centerpiece of the State Department and White House talking points. The DOJ had prosecuted Nakoula before and were well aware of his activities and likely his ‘movie’. Convenient. Was Nakoula asked about this video prior to the talking points coming out or the attack? We don’t know — no one has asked him that question.

FOIA’s Denied

FOIA’s filed by CBS’ Sharyl Attkisson related to Benghazi were denied. PJ media covered her string of tweets detailing that the FBI told her she cannot have any information – not even a single page. Attkisson also requested photos from the White House of the situation room that night, like the ones taken for the Bin Laden raid. To date, the White House has not responded to that request. You’d think a big event like that would have been photographed and put in the Situation Room Album.

A different FOIA request brought to light confirmation that there were two separate resources available the night of the attack but neither were activated to save our personnel nor were they used to secure the crime scene.

According to a Libya-Egypt-Yemen Smart Pack dated September 13, 2012, obtained via FOIA, that was assembled after the September 11, 2012 Benghazi attack to answer “RFIs” [Request for Information] from Congress:

“A [Marine Fleet Antiterrorism Security Team] FAST platoon deployed to Libya yesterday (12 Sep 12) to provide security for the US Embassy in Tripoli … FAST companies maintain forward-deployed platoons at various naval commands around the globe and possess US-based alert forces capable of rapidly responding to unforeseen contingencies worldwide … FAST platoons are primarily designed toconduct defensive combat operations, military security operations, and rear area security operations in response to approved requests (emphasis mine).”

So the obvious question is why was a FAST platoon deployed to Tripoli, Libya the day after the September 11, 2012 attack in Benghazi and not sent to Benghazi when the call for help came in or to secure the crime scene and allow the FBI to do their jobs instead of keeping them out for nearly a month compromising and contaminating the evidence? – Via GatewayPundit

More on this revelation and a copy of the related FOIA document can be found at MarinkaPeschmann.com

Remember, CNN managed to get there and pick through the rubble of an “ unsecured crime scene” right after the attack. It was weeks before an FBI team was even sent to investigate – the administration conveniently never mentioned that they had other resources to secure the scene. CNN found Steven’s diary as the basis for stories the network ran before turning it over and that the diary detailed that the Ambassador knew he was on an Al Qaeda hit list. Hillary Clinton denied knowledge of the Al Qaeda claim, but it has become clear the Ansar Al Sharia, an Al Qaeda linked group, was responsible for the attack. Also, just this week we’ve learned that the Al Qaeda linked Jihadists who carried out the attack in Benghazi are training the Syrian rebels.

Hillary Clinton and What Difference It Makes

Remember, Hillary Clinton denied knowledge of the Ambassador’s Al Qaeda hit list claim just weeks after the attack. Later on in her testimony, she denied knowledge of pretty much everything having to do with Benghazi. Her now famous outburst, could be looked at very differently now in light of new information that we now know Clinton had before testifying and comments made by Rep. Adam Kinzinger of Illinois. National Review’s Jim Geraghty reported:

Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R., Ill.) is getting attention on conservative blogs for his recent comment discussing the Benghazi attack and investigation before an audience, asking, “Why, two days after this attack, were we in a briefing with Hillary Clinton, and she’s screaming at a member of Congress for daring to suggest this was a terrorist attack?”

Kinzinger’s office confirmed that Kinzinger is describing a classified briefing for all members of Congress held two days after the attacks.

Kinzinger actually addressed this point with Secretary Clinton when she testified about Benghazi before the House, back on January 23:

KINZINGER: When you briefed us, you said unequivocally this was a result of a video. I remember in fact, you got pretty upset when somebody suggested this was a terror attack. This was our briefing that we had. But we find out now it wasn’t a video, it was this terrorist attack.

Unfortunately, Clinton addressed that point very briefly in her response; Kinzinger asked about several matters, and she ran through several issues in her response:

CLINTON: With respect to the, um, the video, I– I did not say that it was video, that it was about the video for Libya. It certainly was for many of the other places where we were watching these disturbances. With respect to the Predator feed or video of the attack . . .

Geraghty’s article has the video clip of the exchange as well. There is more at Daily Mail. Remember, Clinton also told mourning family members that she would get the person responsible for that YouTube video. Pat Smith, mother of Sean Smith, reported that Clinton kept pushing the video as the reason. The Daily Caller reported:

According to Smith, immediately following the deaths of her son and three other Americabs, including then-U.S. ambassador Christopher Stevens, Clinton blamed an infamous anti-Islam YouTube video, which was said to be a non-factor in last week’s House Oversight Committee hearings on the attack.

“She blamed the video just like all the rest of them did and she also told me she was going to get back to me,” Smith said. “She was going to keep on checking on it and she would get back to me with answers. She has not. Neither has anybody else.”

Smith said “a clerk of some kind” had followed up on her son’s death and had read to her from the timeline she already had.

Ops Team Pulled Out Of BenghaziWe’re just a few weeks from the one year anniversary of the attack and the Obama administration is pulling the plug on the investigation with the withdrawl of the team in Libya.

Question: “Are you going to let these men get away with murder?”

Answer: “Crickets.

Before the 17th Amendment, senators were not determined by popular vote. For a damned good reason (hopefully, the 17th Amendment will be repealed, which will fix the problems it created).

Do you know why the 17th amendment was passed? Turns out with the creation of extremely wealthy robber barons, it was possible to buy state legislatures and by extension senate seats. And it is still possible today.

They did not foresee that happening. But the Founders certainly would not have supported that.
