The problem is I lack competence in many fields I like to read up on. If I'm reading from a source which I know lacks rigor in fields I'm competent in, it is a pretty clear warning that they might well try to confuse me in the other fields. I don't like wasting my time picking apart nonsense. Some of the best right wing TT's have engaged in outright nonsense, and they deserve the reputation that has stained them with. Let them earn a better one by a longish track record of doing good work, and I'll give them another chance. But not until then...
