Whether we can enforce them or not is separate question of from whether we act on the concept. We do act on it and have in the past.

We can, and have, debated about the wisdom of this. The debate continues.

Assad is a mediocre bully who used Sarin gas to kill his own people.
He will never make it to match the prison camps of Hitler, Mussolini, and Hirohito.
Yes, all three had them. They were brutal. Very brutal like Assad is being right now.

He won't achieve any goals to match them, the Tripartite of Axis countries.

You say that you don't think we should interfere in another country's war crimes.
You are war-weary from George W. Bush's lying reasons for invading Iraq, the wrong country to invade.

Now that we have proof of a dictator ONLY killing his own people, you contend that we should sit by.
You are war-weary.

Britain did that in 1939 and 1940. Appeasement. They stood by drinking their gin and tonics.
Then Germany whacked London with his blitzkriegs.
America did the same until Pearl Harbor.

President Obama will not sit back, rinse and repeat those historic actions.
You may not accept our involvement in Syria. You may disagree with our President.

You are war-weary.
