I understand you now. You agree with this philosophy.
Isolationism is the policy or doctrine of isolating one's country from the affairs of other nations by declining to enter into alliances, foreign economic commitments, foreign trade, international agreements, etc., seeking to devote the entire efforts of one's country to its own advancement and remain at peace by avoiding foreign entanglements and responsibilities.

But I would not stop him killing his own citizens- that's up to his countrymen to do.

In a globalized world, I wonder if there is anything anymore as "countrymen". We ignored Osama when he was all over the place with his terrorist gangs. We ignored it and then he struck us on our shores. Unfortunately though, Bush saw "double" and could not discern Iraq from Afghanistan. And now we have a very skeptical nation.

I support Israel for the mere reason that they are a democratic nation and I consider them more democratic than us. So if Assad attacks Israel by lobbying chemical weapons, then don't you think we will only have ourselves to blame? And I am sure you agree that Assad unlike Bush does not see "double" He knows exactly where Israel located.
