Kumar,
The stock seems to be following CISCO's pattern earlier
this year, when there was a wholesale uncertainity with the
networking sector. The stock went down to 46 before rebounding.
So , this downward movement during the past couple of months
could be either due to
(a) There is some bad news which we all don't have access to
but somebody out there knows it
or
(b) The same uncertainity/insecurity which plagued CISCO due to
earnings warnings from a number of networking stocks is being
reflected in AMAT as well
Regards,
Ramesh Krishnamurthy

Kumar,

Are you familiar with AVTI?
From the link below it looks like a company which may be getting in the right business at the right time. Accord (AVTI) specializes in remanufacturing the equipment of Applied Materials.

If you know about AVTI or have any thoughts, please let me know.
