It wasn't evident they were going to be in jeapardy when we went in. I had an unfavorably optimistic view of Muslim society then. I lean more to Muslims being irredeemable now and I mean that in a civilizational way. My personal experience of Muslims was based on Malaysians and Indonesians that I'd known through work and school over the years. Now I realize those places were unusual for Muslim countries and even they are going more and more mideastern now.
