Had our government done more directly stimulus instead of giving trillions to bankers through QE and ZIRP, we'd already be back to full employment and not in this endless malaise. 4 years of QE, ZIRP, and deficit spending have given us a low growth malaise, massive debts, and continued high unemployment.

If something doesn't work, then common sense would dictate you change tactics, not double down on the same old policies.
