So over the past 2 months, Nokia ends up purchasing the remaining 50% portion of NSN at a deeply discounted price and now receives $7 billion or more for its D&S division resulting in a 40% price pop to $5.45 for the new NOK.

From the naysayer perspective, NOK gave up its D&S division valued at $0 and received $7 billion, which by itself represents a 50% improvement in market value.

Once the dust settles, NOK just might see some significant upward price adjustment from $5.45 owing to the "noise reduction" resulting from the D&S division jettison as the new streamlined version NOK unfolds and as the discount (as much as $3 billion) on the recent 50% purchase of NSN is converted into market value.

The new NOK will also post positive earnings per share which may well add to any upward price adjustment.
