You made it clear that they would be living in separate living quarters, women, men, kids..... Do you have kids? Did you tuck them in at night? Did they ever crawl into bed with you after having a nightmare? Did you ever hear them coughing in the middle of the night and gone to them to help them? When you woke them up to go to school, did you rub their back to wake them gently?I just want them to be motivated to get on their own, which I know they would be . If we stop paying people to sit on their asses and take away the freebies and welfare, they'll get motivated pretty damn quickly. Most of you right-wingers have NO proposals, other than let them starve. Government does not need to be the solver of all problems. Republicans (and even Christians) tend to be very generous with charities. Churches around the country...around the world, feed millions of people. Let people voluntarily give of themselves and they will. Nobody...NOBODY, likes to see other people suffering (well, except psychopaths maybe). Offloading charity to the government is the easy way out. It is harder to actually give of yourself. To make a meal or give clothing directly to someone. But people do it. And this is the difference between liberals and conservatives. Liberals think that they have done their job because they voted for welfare and the government is going to take care of it. Conservatives understand that it isn't charity if it is forced and that true charity requires a personal investment. I'm also in favor of doubling the minimum wage. Which is stupid if you want more people to work.
