OK, but the past is past and we've got to in some manner confront the mounting tsunami of entitlement bills that will be coming due. We need to raise taxes. Reagan helped get us into this mess by giving his friends a huge tax break.........and then subsequent Rs continued the gift giving during the next 30 years. We have accumulated a ton of debt on which we pay huge interest bills and helps suck away our revenue. Rs are trying to turn this country into a huge Red State and it stinks. My mail now comes between 6-7 PM at nite.........usually, I am missing 1/4 to 1/3 of my mail in any given month. One can see postmen running thru their routes trying to finish them before dark. That is all thanks to damn Republicans. I am getting real sick of their BS.............and I don't want a country that is run like Mississippi with the commensurate crappy stats. Where did you get the data that said The Reagan era tax rates would suffice to meet them? I don't understand the question.
