MSU English Professor Threatens Student in Anti-Republican Rant
....................................................................................................................................
CapCon ^ | 9/4/2013 | Tom Gantert

A Michigan State University Creative Writing professor was caught on video saying Republicans are old people with "dead skin cells washing off them" who raped the United States to get "everything out of it they possibly could."

He then threatened a student who apparently frowned and made a comment during his rant.

Professor William Penn made the comments in one of his classes and the video was posted online. In the video (see below), Penn challenges in front of the entire class the student who comments and apparently frowns.

"I am a college professor. If I find out you are a closet racist, I am coming after you," Penn said.

In the 1:53 video posted by Campus Reform, Penn said Republicans are a "bunch of dead white people, or dying white people."

At one point, Penn asked his class: "Anybody here want to be Mitt Romney? Him? I mean (lets out sigh) married to her (Ann Romney)?"

A Michigan State official said the university is looking into the incident.

"MSU has been made aware of the situation, and we will be looking into it," MSU Spokesman Kent Cassella said in an email. "At MSU, it is important the classroom environment is conducive to a free exchange of ideas and is respectful of the opinions of others."

Penn didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.

Randall Jensen, an MSU student and member of the MSU College Republicans, said he didn't approve of Penn's comments made in the classroom.

"What bothers me is that he is using his position of authority and respect in a classroom to persuade political opinions," Jensen said. "I don't think that is acceptable for somebody in his position."

MSNBC says it is racist to mention racial motive in killing of Chris Lane

James Edwards, charged with the murder of Chris Lane, has tweets bragging about targeting white people for violent crime. Yet, MSNBC claims murder was non-racial.

MSNBC enlists far-left extremist Tim Wise to explain why it is racist to talk about the racial motive in the killing of Chris Lane.

Tim Wise has a history of extreme incendiary rhetoric and incitement of racial hatred against white people. He even publicly called on supporters to shoot members of the Florida TEA Party movement.

Yet, CNN, and MSNBC continue to call him an “expert” and feature him on their networks. Now MSNBC is claiming that the racially motivated murder of Chris Lane is not really racially motivated.

MSNBC claims that Michael Dewayne Jones, who appears to be racially mixed, is “white.” Micheal Dewayne Jones, has been charged with being an accessory. The MSNBC host claims that since Jones is light-skinned, that negates all the hardcore racial stuff that the two people charged with murder posted online.

One of the men charged with murder has violent anti-white tweets that document his motives. He boasts of targeting white people for crime.

Popular and widely read Egyptian newspaper Al Wafd published the above picture today portraying U.S. President Barack Hussein Obama as Satan himself. The unflattering picture has been making the rounds on Facebook in the Middle East and, according to Al Wafd, is representative of the hatred growing numbers of people in the region have for the American president, thanks to his staunch and unwavering support for Islamists and jihadiis — whether in Nigeria, Libya, Egypt, or Syria — even as they terrorize, murder, rape, and burn down Christian churches, that is, even as they engage in diabolical activities.

Sentencing highlights change in heroin trafficking

View gallery

This undated photo provided by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration shows Musiliu Balogun. Balogun, a reputed former leader of a heroin-trafficking network that extended from Thailand to Nigeria and Mexico and into Chicago is set to be sentenced Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at federal court in Chicago, two decades after being charged. (AP Photo/U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration)

MICHAEL TARM 43 minutes ago
news.yahoo.com

CHICAGO (AP) — A U.S. judge sentenced a longtime fugitive to nine years in prison Thursday for leading what was one of the world's largest heroin networks, extending from suppliers in Thailand to distributors working out of a boutique in Chicago.

The sentencing of Musiliu Balogun highlights a seismic shift in how heroin gets to the U.S. In the 1990s, when Balogun was in his heyday as a drug trafficker, most of the heroin originated from Southeast Asia and got to the United States through couriers. Now, most of it is smuggled across the southern border by Mexican cartels.

Standing in the Chicago court with his legs shackled, the 53-year-old Nigerian fumbled with a folder in his hands and repeatedly bowed to U.S. District Judge James F. Holderman in a brief statement before sentencing.

"I sincerely apologize for all the pain I have caused," he said in a soft, heavily accented voice. "I've learned a lot and I'm a changed person now."

In imposing sentence, Holderman said the harm caused by the trafficking drugs into the U.S. "has been momentous."

"You have engaged in very serious conduct," he added.

While Balogun trafficked pricey Asian heroin injected with a needle, today's Mexican- and Colombian-made heroin is as potent but cheaper and easier to ingest in its powdery form, said Jack Riley, the Drug Enforcement Administration's head in Chicago.

"What's scary is we thought we had heroin licked. And look where we are now," said Riley, who as a young agent in the mid-'90s worked on the investigation that helped bring down Balogun's network.

Balogun, of Ogun, Nigeria, was initially looking at a life sentence on multiple trafficking charges, but a plea deal in June following his extradition from Holland meant that the maximum he faced was nine years. Defense lawyer Raymond Wigell said his client could be out of prison in as little as 2 ½ years depending on how the Bureau of Prisons decides to factor in his time served in the Netherlands.

Asked after outside court if a few years behind bars would be appropriate for someone who played so central a role in the massive network, Wigell said, "This ring has been dead for 15, 17 years. ... He's out of that life."

Based in Thailand and Cambodia in the 1990s, Balogun was adept at recruiting couriers in hotels or airports, and they would then smuggle the heroin to the U.S. aboard airlines — sometimes swallowing it in small bags and expelling it after reaching Chicago, Riley said.

"This guy was a genius, including at recruiting couriers," he said. "He also had ties to the Thai government at the time and with its military."

Among the other key figures in the network were women working out of a Chicago boutique shop; they received the contraband from couriers, then distributed it to local street gangs, who handled street-level sales, Riley said.

The women, like Balogun, were of Nigerian descent, which Riley said was a common feature of trafficking organizations back then. Over the years, Mexicans and their operatives came to dominate the trade, he said.

The investigation of Balogun's crime group, dubbed Global Sea, was one of the largest operations of its kind at the time, Riley said. Dozens of coconspirators were arrested in 1996, Balogun evaded capture until his arrest in Amsterdam in 2006 as he sought to fly to Ghana. Dutch authorities extradited him to the U.S. in February.

The first breaks for investigators in the 1990s were the capture of couriers, who then revealed telephone numbers they were ordered to call upon arrival in Chicago. Authorities used that information to work their way of the chain of command, he said.

For at least some Mexican cartels, heroin trafficked to the U.S. is now their No. 1 money maker, Riley said. While the majority of heroin in the United States come in via Mexico, Asian heroin and heroin from Afghanistan still makes up the bulk of supply to Europe, China and Russia, Riley said.

Statistics suggest that heroin use in the U.S. has soared. Numbers of people who said they used heroin in the past year rose by 66 percent from 2007 and 2011, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration reports. And numbers who died from overdoses who had heroin in their system boomed 55 percent from 2000 to 2010, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports.

Michigan State University Forced To Suspend Leftist Professor Caught Teaching Students Republicans Are Racists Who “Rape” America…

Update to this story from yesterday.

Via Campus Reform:

weaselzippers.us

Michigan State administrators have suspended Prof. William Penn for the remainder of the semester, after he was caught on video last week going on an anti-Republican tirade on the very first day of his literature class.

In an email to students Thursday morning, Dean Karen Wurst of the College of Arts & Letters cited his “inappropriate, disrespectful and offensive” comments.

“On Aug. 29, during your Literatures, Cultures, Identities course, Professor William Penn made comments he has acknowledged were inappropriate, disrespectful and offensive and may have negatively affected the learning environment,” she wrote. “Once MSU was made aware of the situation the Office of the Provost immediately began a review.”

As a result, Penn’s duties have been reassigned, and he will not be teaching this semester,” she added. “A new instructor is being assigned to your course.”

Obama Has No Red Line for Beheading, Raping Girls and Killing Christians
    .................................................................................................................................
AINA ^ | 9-7-2013 | Murad Makhmudov and Lee Jay Walker

President Obama, John Kerry, John McCain and Lindsey Graham are all peddling the anti-Syrian government line and now they have a beloved "red line," whereby they can assist the Syrian Muslim Brotherhood and various al-Qaeda terrorist groups.

Of course, when Carla del Ponte stated earlier this year that the United Nations believed that terrorist forces had used chemical weapons; then, of course, this was conveniently ignored by America, France, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the United Kingdom. Similarly, it appears that Obama, Kerry, McCain and Graham don't believe in a red line when it applies to al-Qaeda affiliates, the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and other terrorist forces.

This reality means that unlike the doubts which remain over the chemical issue -- the stark reality of vast numbers of videos showing barbaric massacres by al-Qaeda affiliates and the FSA are realities. In other words, for Obama, Kerry, McCain and Graham, and many others who are assisting sectarian and terrorist forces; they don't have any red lines for cleansing Christians, killing Alawites, children being killed for blasphemy, raping women, slaughtering the Shia, beheading civilians, killing Syrian women who refuse to marry jihadists and so forth. I

ndeed, the so-called opposition can even kidnap Christian bishops and kill Christian priests because nothing stops America, France and the United Kingdom from providing propaganda for the FSA and various al-Qaeda forces.

Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) comments that "We should be focused on defending the United States of America. That's why young men and women sign up to join the military, not to, as you know, serve as Al Qaeda's air force."

Ted Cruz also stated "I'll give you one of the simplest principles of foreign policy that we ought to be following: Don't give weapons to people who hate you…..Don't give weapons to people who want to kill you."

The unholy Western trinity is supported by the unholy Middle East trinity of Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey. Of course, you don't expect much from Saudi Arabia where all non-Muslim faiths are illegal and converting to Christianity may lead to your death. Also, in draconian Saudi Arabia very old men can marry little girls of 9 and 10 and women face being punished if they don't cover up from head to toe. Similarly, you don't expect much from feudal Qatar which appears to adore supporting terrorism and endorsing the Muslim Brotherhood (like the Obama administration). Sadly, the same applies to the elites in Turkey because the Erdogan government is crushing all progressive forces in this nation.

However, why no red lines for various terrorist, sectarian and mercenary forces in Syria when it comes to America, France and the United Kingdom? At no point did the three above countries put pressure on Gulf nations and Turkey for assisting brutal anti-Syrian forces. In other words, cleansing Alawites, Christians and the Shia is fine and the same applies to destroying Christian churches and mosques. Therefore, the gang rape of Christian women, videos of killing children deemed apostates and other barbaric massacres all fall under any red line. What does this say for the morality of political leaders who openly support the bombing of Syria?

Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky) in America made it clear that he doesn't support any side in the conflict and he is no supporter of the government of Syria. However, Rand Paul knows the difference between the government of Bashar al-Assad whereby minorities are protected -- compared with sectarian forces which are intent on crushing all minorities and persecuting pro-government Sunni Muslims.

He stated that the Syrian government"has protected Christians for a number of decades" however "Islamic rebels…have been attacking Christians" and they are allies of various al-Qaeda affiliates.

Clearly, Christians and all religious minorities co-exist in government controlled areas in Syria and this reality is in stark contrast to areas under sectarian and al-Qaeda affiliates. Obviously, if the population in Damascus believed that the FSA and various other forces were based on democracy, religious pluralism and rights for women; then the capital city would have witnessed a major revolt and people would have fled to opposition held areas. Yet this never happened. On the contrary, religious minorities have fled to government controlled areas because they only feel protected by the armed forces of Syria. This is only natural because the armed forces of Syria are multi religious and represent the rich mosaic of Syria which is fighting against brutal sectarianism.

Images of the FSA and al-Qaeda affiliates teaching children to behead Syrian soldiers and partaking in murdering pro-government civilians aren't deemed to be red lines. Cleansing Alawites, the Shia and Christians also isn't deemed to be a red line. Likewise, car bombings, beheading anyone deemed pro-government and killing children on video also appears to be acceptable.

Indeed, even when the UN pointed the finger at anti-Syrian government forces for using chemical weapons this also wasn't deemed to be a red line.

Carla del Ponte, UN human rights investigator, pointed the finger at terrorist forces when another false flag was raised. She stated several months ago that "We still have to deepen our investigation, verify and confirm (the findings) through new witness testimony, but according to what we have established so far, it is at the moment opponents of the regime who are using sarin gas."

In other words, any barbarity committed by various al-Qaeda affiliates, the FSA and other terrorist groups in Syria is either welcomed, swept under the carpet or it means the same forces will obtain more funding and training from the enemies of this country. All in all, so-called opposition forces can gang rape Christian girls, use chemicals, behead people, cut open Syrian soldiers, murder Alawites, kill pro-Sunni Muslim clerics, kidnap Christian bishops and other brutal realities. After all, the red line only applies to the side which is protecting minorities therefore Gulf petrodollars can openly support barbarity -- while NATO Turkey is a conduit for military arms and international jihadists.

Only compliant media groups could peddle the spin emanating from the Obama administration and which is being endorsed by France, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the United Kingdom.

    September 8, 2013 - 2:36 PM By Terence P. Jeffrey

(CNSNews.com) - Susan Rice, who falsely told the nation that the terrorist attacks in Benghazi on Sept. 11, 2012 had developed out of a spontaneous demonstration against a YouTube video, will mark the one year anniversary of those attacks by briefing Congress to make the administration's case for authorizing President Barack Obama to use military force in Syria.

The administration has decided to make Rice a key point person for pushing military intervention in Syria.

On Monday, Rice will give a speech about Syria to the New America Foundation, then speak to the Congressional Black Caucus and participate in a classified briefing that the administration will provide to members of Congress. She will participate in another classified briefing for Congress on Wednesday--which will be the twelfth anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the U.S. homeland and the one year anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the State Department and CIA facilities in Benghazi, Libya.

Did John McCain let the Cat out of the O’Bagy?

By Shoebat Foundation on September 7, 2013 By Ben Barrack
    shoebat.com

Elizabeth O’Bagy is listed as a Political Director for the Syrian Emergency Task Force (SETF)
in the group’s Washington, D.C. office. SETF lobbies Congress on behalf of the Syrian rebels.

During a Senate hearing this week, Senator John McCain, perhaps the most vocal supporter of the Syrian rebels in Congress, pointed to an op-ed by the twenty-six year-old O’Bagy that appeared in the Wall Street Journal on August 30th. He then asked Secretary of State John Kerry, who agrees with him, if O’Bagy’s assertions were correct:

Two days later, on September 5th, O’Bagy appeared on Your World with Neil Cavuto and was politely called out by the Fox News Host for not disclosing an obvious conflict of interest. When asked how she knows which rebels to support, O’Bagy says,

“I would hope that our intelligence agencies have been closely following this.”

Pay attention at the 4:10 mark. Cavuto concedes to O’Bagy that she may know more about the region than he does but he then points to his own life experience, which far exceeds that of O’Bagy’s, and explains why history is a good teacher. Cavuto is visibly annoyed shortly thereafter when O’Bagy basically tells him that these “old paradigms” don’t apply to this conflict.

    Via Fox News:

Is O’Bagy’s protestation about working for the SETF a distinction without a difference? Check out SETF’s About Us page and decide for yourself:

“…I don’t represent the Syrian Emergency Task Force. I am not one of their employees, nor do I lobby on their behalf.” – Elizabeth O’Bagy on Your World, September 5, 2013.

O’Bagy didn’t just pen an opinion piece that McCain cited as evidence to bolster his case during a Senate hearing. She also joined McCain on the Senator’s trip to Syria this past May. Check out the caption under this photo; O’Bagy is credited with taking it on behalf of the SETF, via the UK Telegraph:

The other individuals in this photo are worth noting as well. The man in the white shirt, whose back is to the camera, is Mouaz Moustafa. He is the Executive Director of the SETF. The Daily Caller’s Jamie Weinstein reported back in July that McCain referred to Moustafa as a “patriot” and sang his praises. All indications are that Moustafa is an extremely effective lobbyist for the rebels.

Also in July, we wrote that Moustafa was a participant at the increasingly significant U.S.-Islamic World Forum (US-IWF) that took place in Doha, Qatar, a strongly pro-Muslim Brotherhood region, this past June.

McCain didn’t just travel to Syria with two members of the SETF; there was a third. Her name is Razan Shalab AlSham, Field Director of SETF. She is pictured in this photo with McCain in Syria, via Blouin News:

(L to R): John McCain, FSA General Salim Idris, and Razan Shalab AlSham

Consider that McCain was in Syria with three members of the SETF this past May. The SETF’s Board of Trustees includes a man named Dr. Yahya Basha, who once headed the American Muslim Council (AMC), which was founded by Abdulrahman Alamoudi, who was convicted on charges related to financing terrorism and is currently serving a 23-year prison sentence. The AMC, which is now defunct, has referred to Hamas as being made up of “freedom fighters”.

Speaking of Freedom fighters, McCain called the Syrian rebels just that
on August 27th during his interview with Cavuto:

There are two other individuals in the photo with McCain who should be considered persons of interest. Again, keep in mind that O’Bagy, Moustafa, and AlSham were all present when these photos were taken. All three have maintained that they support “moderate rebels”. With that as a backdrop, check out this video from Syria News. It produces some compelling evidence and testimony that at least two of the men McCain posed with in Syria were involved in the kidnapping of 13 Lebanese hostages.

Bolstering the case made in that video is that McCain’s staff said the Senator did not “knowingly” meet with kidnappers and that if he did, it would be “regrettable”.

Let’s go back to O’Bagy for a moment. In the SETF Press Release that announces her addition as a Political Director, it says she “gained a Master’s in Arab Studies from Georgetown University”.

Georgetown University is under the very strong influence of Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal.

    From the University’s website:

In December 2005, the Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding (CMCU) received a $20 million dollar gift from HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal, an internationally renowned businessman and global investor, to support and expand the Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding. The Center was renamed the Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding (ACMCU). This endowed fund was the second largest single gift in Georgetown University history.

The Director of the ACMCU is none other than Professor John Esposito, a renowned Muslim Brotherhood apologist. Here he is in a faculty photo (wearing yellow jacket, second from right):

ACMCU Faculty Photo: John Esposito, 2nd from right.

Incidentally, Esposito joined SETF’s Moustafa at the US-IWF this past June:

    Esposito as a US-IWF Participant.

How does this all involve O’Bagy? Remember, she earned a “Master’s in Arab Studies” from this University. In order to get her degree, O’Bagy likely had to complete seven of these courses…

Choose seven of these courses to get Masters in Arabic Studies at Georgetown University.

    …and five of these courses:

Choose five of these courses to get Masters in Arabic Studies at Georgetown University.

Guess who’s listed as faculty for the Department of Arabic and Islamic studies. Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal’s guy at the University – John Esposito.

Finally, when it comes to the dynamics of the situation in Syria, let’s take a look at the players. There are essentially three nations who are most invested – Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Iran (aside from Syria). The Obama administration has clearly aligned with Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia: Schizophrenic fan of the Muslim Brotherhood that often takes an opposing side when the group is no longer useful or causes more harm than good. A recent example can be seen in Saudi Arabia’s recent support for the Egyptian military over the ousted Muslim Brotherhood regime, led by Mohammed Mursi. Saudi support for Syria’s rebels has more to do with weakening Iran, the Royal family’s arch nemesis. In fact, if there’s a country these nations hate more than Israel, it’s each other. Bashar Al-Assad is an agent of Iran and the Saudi’s want him replaced. Its support for the removal of Saddam Hussein in Iraq was followed by that country being all but annexed by Iran. Saudi interest in the Syrian rebels is more about addition by subtraction and weakening Iran.

Turkey: Turkey’s support for the Syrian rebels is about furthering the goal of resurrecting the Ottoman Empire via the Muslim Brotherhood. This began with the Arab Spring. Save for the setback in Egypt this past July, the plan for Brotherhood dominance in the region was going according to plan, save for leaders like Libya’s Gadhafi and Syria’s Assad taking much longer than expected or desired. Turkey has largely sat back and watched the Obama administration do its bidding, without having to lift a finger. Had Egypt remained under the control of the Brotherhood, Syria and Jordan would have been the last two nations to fall before a new phase in Turkey’s plans could begin. With Mursi’s overthrow in Egypt came a greater sense of urgency to remove Assad in Syria.

Iran: Since the Arab Spring, the balance of power in the region has tilted in favor of the Turks and the Sunni Muslim Brotherhood. Save for gaining much more influence in Iraq after U.S. troops left in 2011, the Sunnis have been racking up the wins, save for Egypt a couple of months ago. Assad has long been an arm and close ally to Iran. Losing Syria to the Sunnis would be a major blow to Iran and they will fight tooth and nail to prevent it. In fact, the longer Saudi Arabia is shown to be involved in actively funding and supporting the Brotherhood rebels, the greater enemies Iran and the Saudis will become.

When you look at O’Bagy and why she is working on behalf of the Muslim Brotherhood in Syria, look no further than the brainwashing that took place during her time at Georgetown University.

The real question is: Why has John McCain decided to sell out his country?

For WSJ writer, Elizabeth O'Bagy, PHD stands for Piling it Higher and Deeper

    ............................................................................................................................

    by Steven H Ahle September 11, 2013
    examiner.com

Syria 'researcher' Elizabeth O'Bagy who wrote the oft cited OpEd piece on the Syrian Conflict was fired for lying about having a PHD. from Georgetown University.

She also failed to reveal one small little detail. She works for the Syrian Emergency Task Force, a nonprofit group who advocates for Al Qaeda and other opposing forces in Syria. And let us not forget the best part. Who pays for this propaganda? You do.

The main problem is that she has caught the ear of many of our leaders.

She has been cited by John McCain, John Kerry,
and others. David Reaboi, vice president for strategic communications at the Center for Security Policy., said that O'Bagy's op ed piece is an extremely serious case of conflict of interest.

“While there’s been a lot of worthwhile effort to expose activists considered pro-Assad or pro-Hezbollah — or, at least, to consider their analysis as coming from an interested party — O’Bagy seems to pass herself off as an impartial observer of the situation. Her access to Congress, intelligence services and to think tanks should be regarded as what it really is, which is a reflection of the Syrian rebels’ cause and aspirations.”

    O"Bagy replied to Reaboi's comments:

“I’m the political director and aid coordinator, and that’s my official title at the organization, but that’s mostly because it provides me an opportunity to engage on humanitarian issues and to be a part of some of these larger government contracts going to humanitarian aid.”

In an interview with the Daily Caller, O"Bagy defended herself and denied any lobbying for the SETF:

“They kind of have two departments within the Task Force — one focused on working with the government on the Hill on advocacy and then the other working inside Syria and directly implementing government contracts."

The Foreign Policy Digest reported back in June:

The Syrian Support Group (SSG), the only organization licensed by the U.S. government to provide financial and non-lethal support to rebel fighters, and the Syrian Emergency Task Force (SETF), which boasts extensive contacts with rebel commanders, spent months lobbying Congress, the State Department and the White House for everything from small arms to anti-tank and and anti-aircraft weapons to body armor to advanced communications equipment for the rebels. But with a key component of that lobbying effort achieved following a White House assessment that the Assad regime "used chemical weapons" against the rebels, representatives of the groups are of two minds.

As a result of this alleged gas attack by the Assad administration, the US and other countries began supplying the rebels with small arms.

The same article contained a couple of quotes from O'Bagy:

"It's not enough. Small arms and ammunition really only get you so far against airplanes. And I wonder how much of this is simply an announcement of what they've already been doing on the ground."

"We're happy the administration has recognized the regime's chemical weapons use, but it's embarrassing that we didn't recognize it earlier."

Another sarin gas attack on August 21st, has prompted President Obama to consider attacking Syria for using sarin gas, although they have failed to provide any proof in either case.

And how much they relied on reports from O"Bagy, could be problemsome.

Russia has prodeuced a 100 page report, attributing the use of sarin gas to the rebels seeking addition and higher quality arms in their fight. But would O'Bagy lie in her reports?

Well, she made a lot of money for siding with the rebels and she had no problem lying about having a doctorate from Georgetown University.

Fort Hood issues new policy after soldiers protest for open carry rights
    ................................................
Sep 11, 2013 By Markeya Thomas
    kxxv.com

After several confrontations between soldiers and civilian police, Fort hood has created a new policy.

In an email outlining the policy, Fort Hood says, "There is a growing trend of soldiers assigned to fort hood openly carrying firearms in private business establishments."

When approached by police, they say soldiers have been refusing to cooperate with civilian police officers who try to assess if the guns are a threat to the public.

The local owner of B&K Pawn believes some of this confrontation may come from confusing gun laws.

"It seems like a double edge sword the military people under 21 can carry a handgun in pursuit of their duties on Fort Hood," explains Scott McComas. "But once they step off of Fort Hood they aren't really able to carry a firearm because they are not of age."

This new policy intends to clear things up without overruling state law. Fort Hood Major General Anthony Ierardi is now requiring all military personnel to show proper identification at officer's requests.

The policy reads, "Soldiers are prohibited from refusing to present a driver's license or military identification card to any law enforcement in the exercise of his or her official duties, upon request by the law enforcement officer."

Jean Tran, military spouse and owner of JT Sports gun store in Copperas Cove, says soldiers should have the right to carry, but they should also obtain a concealed handgun license.

"Prove you are a U.S. soldier, you serve your country. Be proud about it, don't be worried like 'oh why should I show you my I.D.' That's not necessary."

Violation of the new policy falls under Article 92 UCMJ.

According to Article 92 3.a. violators could receive a maximum punishment of two thirds loss of pay for three months, or confinement for three months.

Unless the police officer has probable cause to believe a law is being broken, wouldn't this constitute wrongful profiling on thier part regardless of thegeneral's order?

And now for this week's forecast: spotty news coverage throughout the week with a zero percent chance of cooperation, although we should expect some pretty powerful **** blowing in from the northeast.

So, soldiers don't get Constitutional rights that civilians have, according to this politically correct General?!?

Anyone here considered that the general would rather order his men to show ID to the local cops than have an armed confrontation? I mean, I get it. The local cops are flexing their muscles with the Army boys, which is stupid. But, the general has a mission to accomplish, and he can't let a Cops vs. Army dick-measuring contest interfere with his mission.

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Well first and foremost this is not so much about the Concealed Weapons issue as it is about the OPEN Carry law in Texas. Texas permits open carry of rifles and that is what many soldiers are doing. They are exercising their rights under Texas law. As for the good General...I would suggest a letter writing campaign to Senator Cruz to get this policy removed. This policy as it is written violates the same Constitution the General swore to uphold and defend when he took his oath. Write letters and E-Mails to Senator Cruz about your concerns regarding this policy and it's potential Constitutional violations.

Do these soldiers have a concealed license? Fort Hood is a Federal Facility and the city of Killeen is not. Two different laws apply here. What is allowed on base may not be the same as what is allowed or not allowed in Texas.

I think this general is abusing his authority by forcing soldiers under his command to comply with "requests" by law enforcement even when that "request" has no legal basis and there is no legal requirement (other than this general's order) that the citizen needs to comply with it.

They ask for your SSN on traffic stops too, which you do NOT have to provide. The reason is the police have thier own special database by SSN and not by license number. This way they can track every stop whether ticketed or not. Talk about overreach.....

This article makes absolutely no since. First, Texas State Law, which applies outside the gate on Texas soil, States that I.D. is not required to be presented unless there is reasonable suspicion that a crime has been committed. So you're going to tell me he "looks" too young to carry a gun? We've got 28 year old LT's that are 5'2" and could be models on the post. Killeen PD which is used to getting it's way with Fort Hood personnel, needs to get in line with State Laws and stop trying to force the issue of special consideration, because they have a 2 Star General to run crying to push established State Laws and limits

Hunter College Student Survives After Being Pushed Onto the Tracks by Homeless Panhandler
New York Magazine ^| WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 2013 | MARK MORALES

Hunter College student survives after being pushed onto the tracks at Metro-North station by homeless panhandler

The 21-year-old student's leg was mangled and lost fingers after the panhandler shoved her onto the tracks at the White Plains station around 11 a.m.

A Hunter College student on her way to class Wednesday was shoved in front of an oncoming Metro-North Train by a homeless man, authorities said.

The 21-year-old student was waiting on the north end of the platform at the White Plains station on the Harlem line around 11 a.m. when Howard Mickens, 39, came up behind her and pushed her, officials said.

The girl’s leg was mangled and witnesses said she even lost some fingers.

The co-ed was rushed to Westchester Medical Center where she is expected to survive. A witness said cops told him that Mickens was so outraged when he begged the college student for money but was turned down, he shoved her into the train’s path. “I see him every day. This is the first time he’s ever done a heinous act like this,” said Gary Wexler, who runs a newsstand at the station.

Mickens was arrested on the spot by MTA police. Charges were pending Wednesday evening.

Racist Shooting: Black Man Shoots Four People Because They’re White
    ...............................................................................................................................
By John Hawkins September 26, 2013
    rightwingnews.com

The Left works non-stop to generate racial hate because liberals think it’ll benefit them politically.

They tell black Americans that Republicans hate them, that most white Americans hate them, and that America is a racist country.

To liberals, this is about increasing black turnout and hurting their political opponents.

Of course, there are other consequences to the climate of hatred that the Left creates.

A man who shot four people near a Greenville Wal-Mart in June picked out his victims because they were white, according to several indictments handed down against him.

Faust, who is black, picked out his victims based on their race, according to the indictments. The documents didn’t specify why Faust wanted to shoot white people, and police have not talked about why he picked out his targets.

…Three of the four people wounded in the shooting suffered permanent and debilitating injuries, according to the indictments. Details of those injuries were not specified.

Faust, 23, was shot by police. He recovered and is now in jail.

Police seized computers and documents from Faust’s home that showed he had a plan for the attack and wanted to shoot a large number of people, investigators said.

If Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and let’s face it, pretty much everyone on MSNBC weren’t around, would Lakim Faust have been murdering white people? Maybe it’s time to start asking that question.

SEIU unionists strike over Obamacare-related cuts
    .............................................................................................
    By SEAN HIGGINS | SEPTEMBER 26, 2013
    washingtonexaminer.com

Members of the Chicago-based Service Employees International Union Local 1 have gone on strike over recent job cuts by a janitorial company called Professional Maintenance.

The reason for the cuts? The employer says it is because of the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare. This is ironic since SEIU is a major supporter of the law.

Tyler French, Local 1's organizing director, told Mediatrackers Ohio the company claimed it had to cut its employees' hours due to Obamacare mandates.

French did not believe the explanation, though, calling it the “latest excuse in a long line of many that we’ve seen from corporate America.”

But others throughout the organized labor movement have warned that such actions will be a direct consequence of the President Obama's health care law.

At the AFL-CIO's convention in Los Angeles earlier this month, Loretta Johnson, secretary-treasurer of the American Federation of Teachers, said it was already happening in her union.

"We are seeing employer after employer cut hours so as to avoid the 30-hour definition of a full-time job," Johnson said. The AFL-CIO passed a resolution demanding either Congress or Obama fix the law to stop it from hurting union members.

Under Obamacare, once a person works more than 30 hours a week, that person counts toward the requirement that companies provide insurance if they have more than 50 employees.

SEIU enthusiastically backed Obamacare when it passed and remains a booster of the law today. Earlier this month, it announced that it was sending nurses, doctors and other health care professionals out to promote the law in 30 cities over the coming months.
