Good question. Ask Que. He has the Level II quotes, and may know better. He was telling smth about the irregular trader, this may be one of them.
Becides, there is the "upstairs market", where the MMs go to do the block trades and other stuff, but I am not sure is exists on NASDAQ, and if it does than in what form.
And did you here about the "after hours trading" on CNBC?
The trade at 4:17 could be any of the above.

I am still trying to learn this stuff, so sorry for an incomplete answer.

The last trade listed at 16:00:33.

From 15:35:46 to close, # of shrs = 95,000
Among them, 20,000 shrs were priced at 6, others 9 1/16

Last three trades:
4:00:33 6 15,000
4:00:03 6 1/16 58,500
15:59:52 6 1/16 4,500

I found this interesting and, IMHO, more encouraging than troubling.
