Hi pyslent -

Does NOK keep their branded name?

Wonder if they signed a non compete clause for building an Android phone w/ Google's open source OS. They could package a phone that is tweaked to run on their NSN networks and sell thru the carriers. India and China are very large markets and they must have certain patents they own which provides them some proprietary technology (ie LTE "light") they can build into their own phones.

I suspect if/when an India deal is completed for the next generation NSN network, we may hear about some JV phone deal w/ the carrier.

Just my speculation but they NOK branded name is worth a lot.

EKS

Exactly. The NEW Nokia can become 10x the company in the same business they were in, without selling a single phone. LOL
