Thanks, Mr. Obama.

LITTLE ROCK, AR (AP) - Most Arkansas public school teachers are looking at a 50 percent increase in what they pay for health insurance but the governor says some of the price hike could be offset.

A state board on Tuesday voted to increase monthly premiums from $227 for the popular gold plan to $336 for an individual.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports (http://is.gd/86ywsY ) monthly premium for family coverage under the plan will grow to about $1,500, from about $1,000 this year.

The hikes are necessary to close a $50 million funding gap. The plans cover 83,000 people, including 47,000 teachers, school staff and their families.

This could all backfire on Dems. Most Democrats (not you of course) are struggling with the idea of Kerry and Obama initiating a new War Administration. The result could be confusion and a deflation of Dem voter turnout and representation on key issues around the country.

Kerry and Obama as Hawks? Ok, but do they honestly expect the entire base to flip flop along with them?

There is a recall election of two Dem Legislators on September 10th here in Colorado. I am wondering if all this War talk will have an effect on this vote, in which Dems are being recalled for passing very restrictive Bloomberg gun ownership legislation. Its being called the 'Colorado Can't be Bought' grass roots movement. If successful, it will definitely set the pace for things to come.
