Sam:

I am saying it needs to be in a controlled setting and taken seriously. The company can offer the analysts periodic updates and the analyst can ask all the questions they want. It just needs to be in a public forum like it is done at the end of the qtr. The company can also offer public announcements at anytime.

There is a reason the analyst prefer private meetings. It gives them an edge. A big edge. Did you read that article Sankar posted. Do you think the CEO is going to respect and fear me the same way they seem to fear and respect the big time analyst?

Do you think the analyst would carry the same clout and ability to move markets if they were allowed the same access to company management as you and I?

Do you really believe they have such superior analytical skills?

In response to your post that it will never be in the cards. That might be true. The big-time movers on WS will not give up power easily.
