Cursing the Victoria / San Juan Islands next week. Good friends, nice boat and predicted great weather...A true bucket list item for me and my bride Don't curse the Gulf Islands; better to cruise them.... As the years roll by I realize more and more how lucky I was to grow up sailing around those islands every summer. My favorite spots included Prevost Island, Portland Island, and Sidney Spit. Pirate's Cove and Montague Harbour are pretty cool too. (I tend to prefer the places without any kind of development.) Have fun! LC

Hey Zincman, please don't "curse" the San Juan Islands, I live on one of them (Orcas). <gr> Yes it is god's country, serene and beautiful, with great sailing. Ditto the Gulf Islands and the Inside Passage. Does look like great weather next week. Maybe I'll see you out there, hope to get out on my Niagara 31. Fair winds to you and your bride!
