Susan, not wealthy yet...but I never started with Steve's $100K (at age what was he, 23? He took a lot of flak for being rich, but it was all a fairytale. I even remember fake arguments about tax policy etc.) I have learned a helluva lot in the past year, although a lot of it NOT from SI. People on SI are good for leads at times and also for moral support. Advice from books and public info from companies can go a long way.

If and when I use more money for this investing game, I will be ready. I now find the odd company which exceeds my expectations in terms of financials and prospects. But I have to say most of them are overpriced, so I wait for a better deal. Example: I like the concept of this Mills Corp (MLS)...you can invest in malls but combine it with the growth of a franchise type business. Unfortunately like any great thing it's fully priced and you have to wait for some kind of Chicken Little type negative publicity to give you a bargain.

My pick for 1998+ is INSO CORP.

A lot of the threads on SI are for traders. I wonder why that sort of activity picks up around year end (thread wise at least)?
