StockMan, I see you posting messages almost 24 hours a day. Do you have any other job? Do you make a living out of stock letter writing? I am sure no one would ever buy your letter if there is one.

Stockbaby:

To use your 'mantra' => Dell is great, CPQ sucks. That's why - no other conceivable reason, right?!

Are you happy now??? Doesn't that serve as an explanation for people with such limited scope like you??? I wish things were that easy in real-life!!!

Back to the MediaGX argument: what timeframe were your shipments measured in? 1 month, one quarter, one year. As you admit, "a few went to IBM, other 3rd tier..." So, what's "a few???" 40% - okay?!

That still would leave a good 240,000 that were sold by CPQ => by all means not "low volume." Go check the IDC Data if you don't believe me. Even if that was the 3Q number, that's still quite a bundle (and it would have to be since the MediaGX wasn't shipped til Jun'97.)

Actually, to be honest, I enjoy bantering with you - it's a welcome deviation from work!!! Of course, admittedly, I don't expect this to be productive, but it's fun while it lasts.

Best regards and happy counter-arguing

Kai
