Looks like this comment you made has been made in a vacuum. When countries make their purchases for
their imports by paying in dollars, their currency's value against the dollar goes up.

What you are talking about has nothing to do with the dollar. It has to do with playing politics. Typical of right wing media who deliberately tell half the story and twist the other half to get political advantage.

Agreed, Neil. We've lost our way. We want to be world leaders, but we also want to do what we want without paying attention to the consequences of our actions on other countries. The days when other countries just bend over and take it are coming to a close. In this multi-polar world, developing countries are watching our bull in a china shop approach and deciding they don't like it and they have other options. More and more countries are watching China's approach and deciding that they like it better. China is throwing money around liberally and locking up economic deals, while avoiding military conflicts. The US is creating global currency and other economic problems for everyone, while acting like a military bully on the world stage. It's not hard to see why the developing countries are embracing China and pushing us away.

This is sad to me, because it doesn't have to be this way. We are just making bad policy decisions.

Congratulations, the Pirates and Steelers are sailing smoothly. Let us see the Pirates do what BoSox did in 2004.
