Yes, this is the misleading statistic that Obamacare supporters are tossing around. Unfortunately, it just isn't representative of the truth. Propaganda was the ONLY reason this legislation got precisely the number of votes it had to have. Without the lies from the Left (or the corrupt political payoffs), it would never have happened. The problem here is that you don't start counting "part time workers" when the legislation was signed. It was essentially two years after the signing before regulations started to become available, and certainly before any employers took action. And in fact, May and June of 2013 is when the part time employment began to ramp up. The Obama political solution, of course, was to just illegally tell employers they could ignore the law. When one looks at a more relevant time period, the picture becomes clear:"Bureau of Labor Statistics data show that the ratio of part-time to full-time jobs has completely flipped this year from historical trends. Last year, six full-time jobs were created for every one part time job. This year, only one full-time job is being created for every four new part-time jobs." It is pretty damned hard to argue with these facts. Last year, when no one knew what was going on with Obamacare, the hiring continued pretty much as normal. As the facts became available, regulations came out, consultants figure out what was going on, part-time hiring took off as full-time hiring stopped dead in its tracks. So, there is nothing decisive about your graphs. What they are is misleading, and food for statistical nitwits to chew on.
