ANOTHER tastless cartoon from Gary Trudeau
........................................................................................................
Washington Post, ETC., ETC. ^ | Gary Trudeau

The cartoon that Gary Trudeau had in the Sunday Comics was the most tasteless abomination I've seen, even for him.

Joking about forest fire fighters being ineffective at doing their job, being impaired because they were inhaling marijuana smoke from a illegal "grow", so close to when 19 were killed fighting a recent forest fire, not only made me cringe it made me wonder about the mental capabilities and judgement of the those who chose to include this strip.

Trudeau was kicked off the Washington Post's comics page and moved to the editorial page for his tactlessness (and political agenda) not that long ago. Now to have put him back in the one section for the family to share is reckless.

I urge eveyone to contact their local paper if it includes Gary Trudeau in the Sunday Comics. This scumbag does NOT belong in the "Funny Papers"

He hasn’t belonged in the ‘funny’ papers for decades. The guy has NO sense of appropriateness

Is Trudeau trying to say forest fires would never happen if we legalized pot? There was a rumor about illegal growers starting the Yosemite area Rim Fire but it’s been discredited.

What a maroon.

A new low, even for Doonesbury.

Two questions: Why do you still buy newspapers and why are you reading Doonsbury?

Meh, I’ve seen a lot worse cartoons by Trudeau. Remember “Reagan’s Brain”?

Someone should lock this D-bag in a room with the families of fallen firefighters.

He’s going for complaints on purpose. Standard practice when a show business type career is in trouble. Going for some of that “edgy” cred.

Answer to both, I don't and I don't --
At friends house, he brought it to my attention.

Back when I was taking the Tallahassee Democrat and it was heading into the crapper, they ran a survey each year. One of the questions was which comic strip would you like to get rid of? The answer was always Doonesbury. Each time they kept it.

Actually, they could have saved themselves the money and the effort as each time they ran the survey they published the results and then said why they weren’t going to make the changes people wanted. The Doonesbury reason was that it was the “only cartoon offering political commentary.” I was working for one of the editors then and she told me, “I just love Doonesbury. Everybody loves Doonesbury.” I pointed out that the readers didn’t and she said, “What do they know?” Well, the paper has gone down hill and been sold several times since. It’s still a liberal, anti-white racist rag, but it’s a much poorer liberal, anti-white racist rag.

A Navy veteran studying at Boston University is in the hospital after he was attacked early Saturday morning near his apartment, according to police and a family member of the beating victim.

Police say Michael Stinnett was at Beacon Street and Park Drive in Boston when he was attacked by three people who had been driving by in a dark car.

Stinnett, who served eight years as a Navy weapons instructor, told police the car stopped after he yelled at the driver to slow down.

A witness told Boston Police that three black males got out of the car and began fighting with Stinnett.

Three people don’t ‘fight with’ one person. Three ‘people’ beat down one person.

There will come an Emmitt Till moment, when a group of racist blacks commits some kind of killing that finally grabs the attention of the country. In the meantime, though, it’s something that polite people don’t discuss. Yet.

Islam first even when it is dead wrong. Black first even when there is murder and attempted murder involved.

I worked in and around Atlanta for ten years. In the streets. In the crack neighborhoods. I was not allowed to carry, so I carried. If the company ever caught me carrying, I was fired. So I carried. Not a gun. A machete. I walked down the streets of Atlanta with a machete and not one gang-banger felt like screwing with the guy who is fixing their electric. And he is a white guy who is nuts and has a machete.
