If you got the bucks it's ok ,but if you are an average Joe forget it. About $4 an hour for the meg charge then you still have to pay telephone charges for the return line.

The system I read about was a Hughes Network Systems DirecDuo providing both fast internet acces (400Kbs) downloads AND DirecTV, USSB television programming.

Also is available without the television programming in a seperate package called DirecPC. Both systems require the addition of an ISA card into your existing PC.

Pricing in three different plans as follows:

1. $129.95 per month unlimited use on weekdays (6 am to 6 pm) AND $.60 per MB on evenings and weekends.

2. $39.95 per month unlimited use during evening and weekend hours (6 pm to 6 am and all day Sat. and Sun) and $.80 per MB during daytime hours.

3. $19.95 per month unlimited evening and weekend use at speeds up to 200Kbps and $.50 per MB during weekday hours.

Pretty fast by todays standards but will look slow as cable modems come to fruition in the future......Hope this helps.....Wife screaming at me for dinner gotta go!!!!!
