Sometimes, political leanings are so far to one side or the other, they create a kind of "fog" that prevents clear thinking. I've been guilty of it myself, I know, but I do try to avoid it. I don't believe Ted tries. He revels in the fog of political subjectivity. Were he ever to make an effort to get free of it, I'm sure he could he could be seen as a more thoughtful individual.
