Brian, ALL, 2 Compaq notebooks early '98:

Compaq Goes With Cyrix and AMD

Come next year, Compaq will begin featuring non-Intel systems for its laptop and desktop systems. The entry-level units will use Cyrix' 200MHz MediaGX with MMX, and will sell for about $1,999. Compaq is also introducing at least two AMD-based Presario notebooks at around the same time, at $2,499 and $2,999.

The fact that there are two notebooks, and their prices makes me think that these are 266 and 300 MHz notebooks. Are the 166 MHz notebooks mentioned earlier a typo.? (actually 266?)
