Does this Asian contagion enter into the overall growth picture of DBS revs going forward, or is it a temporary phenomenon, with the overall picture intact, with historic growth rates resuming down the road? Anyone have any insight? -- intelligent that is.

FWIW my opinion is that the Asian situation - while real - is just temporary, but the problems facing Oracle are more fundamental and long-term. The relational database market is now a low-growth market at best. Oracle can only start gowing faster if Larry can get some new lines of business going like wildfire. Oracle's future now depends on the NC and applications.
