Straw man. No one ever said that.

The point that was being made is that the use of chemical weapons is a big thing. The Reagan administration did the world a vast disservice when they tolerated their use by Saddam. Grant you, one can sort of see, if you tilt your head and squint your eyes, why they kept silent when he was gassing Iranians, but giving Saddam a pass on gassing the Kurds set a dangerous precedent.
