Nomai disks ok! or is it "?"

didn't that press release say it was "C't" magazine that
conducted the tests? Does anyone remember E.P.'s famous
post-it experiment? I don't think anybody knows squat about
what kind drives the magazine used.

as for the other lab tests, it doesn't say anything about which
drives were used. I think I recall some discussion about some
Zip's being more "Iomega-specific" than others, no?

For anyone that buys into the Nomai disks being 100% compatible,
what do you say in response to Iomega's tests that showed
INcompatibility? Who's lying?

To all (or most):

The biggest problem I see here is that most of you are focused on
the hour by hour (or in some cases minute by minute) movements in
the stock price. Short term price movements are governed by Chaos
theory! No sense explaining it, because there is no explaination.
Do you think the holders of 4 million shares all got together in a
room and planned today out? C'mon guys!

You have to have a moderate / long term view. Think of it this way:
I have absolutely NO idea if it's going to rain this Friday or not
(and definitely not how much), but I can tell you that it's going to
rain about 25 inches next year. I can't tell you Iomega's price
tommorrow, but I can tell you with fairly good certainty that it
will be higher in 2000 than today. Time is your friend, but you treat
it as though it was an enemy...

Most will eventually lose all their money (and give up on the market)
by trying to guess the chaotic day to day.

Gary your rationalization of the falling prices of this issue makes sense however I am looking forward to the euphoric posts of others that occur after prices have increased.

When do you think this will occur and what is your guess for rest of this week?

Tom

I think even if the Nomai disk are ok they still won't be as big of a threat as originally aniticpated. Nomai had it's day in the sun and now this whole issue is down right silly. Besides, acording to the article found on Ken Marcus website, the new laptop Zip is designed to rejected those kind of immitation disks.

On a different topic, folks, never mind the eleventh million drive sold, I'm expecting a tweleve million drive sold instead. I think the days of press releases announcing drives sold one million at a time are over. According to a press release by IOM when they sold the ten millionth drive, that momentum was picking up. I didn't read too much into it at the time. However, looking back now I think that was a hint.

My .02 cents.

Stop worrying. Well, keep worrying, but stop complaining. This is why they call it a market.

Gary, it's hard to stop worrying. I'm one of those guys who should listen to Ken Pomaranski and play in-the-money options. Darn, I think I just saw all my money go away (I'm way out of the money now and don't think it'll come around by Dec expiration).

Anybody know when expiration is? 1 week from Friday? Bummer -- either way I'll sell it all at a huge loss before holidays start.

Best of luck to all, and keep the faith in IOM!!
