It has been out for a while. It came out in 2010. I do expect that it will become more and more popular as the PDO effects brings more cooling over the next few year. The first PDO papers were well before that. The simple story of Spencer, I took satellite real measurements to see what really was happening and then correlated that to the PDO and saw how the PDO closely accounted for all the warming of the 20th century. The PDO causality is now predicting cooling. And guess what. we are getting cooling. All the theoretical models of the IPCC based upon Mann's fantasy are predicting warming. Reality will sequester the AGW dementia. I expect only the demented and the true whores of AGW to stick to their story.
