So we will be forced to become energy self sufficient. Our domestic oil reserves will become our strategic oil supply and the government will get first dibs on petroleum products....all in the name of a strong national defense. This will force the general public to adopt electric vehicles and thus greatly increase the demands on the grid. This will require that we re-open coal mines and power plants to handle the base load demand increases as a result of all of the EVs. Three Cheers for Coal Powered Cars!!!
