Evolution is not debatable. We can still debate things like the Big Bang, But Evolution is not about how the universe came to be. It is about how life evolved once the earth was formed 4 1/2 billion years ago. So there was no Adam and Eve. It is ludicrous in 2013, that many people need to be advised of this--but there you are. No Adam and Eve, so no apple and no "original sin". Now for those who are not hopelessly slow, there was nothing for "Jesus" to be sacrificed for. No original sin, no atonement, no expiation. It is time for those people who are standing on the track of human progress staring stupidly at the train, to get out of the way and let the trains roll. All this nonsense about Heaven and Hell and how to outshine your fellow humans to please a ridiculous and primitive god figure simply needs to go. By happenstance we are the caretakers of this planet. We need to grow up as homo sapiens and take our responsibilities seriously. We have a tool to deal with Reality. It is called REASON. It is time we used it a little more...
