stoneH, i will get to listen to the analyst squakbox tomorrow @ml if i wake up early.

don't sell on bad news. buy on bad news or hold still. orcl is not infx. it is trading at pretty high pe which is usually tolerated as
long as the company does well.

they did not pre-warn and they were not suppoesed to announce today.
i m a bit p'd off. as i bot orcl recently at 30 only to sell leap
agianst it and i forgot to do it. i was waiting for it to go to 33
and sell the leap.

now i m stuck with it with u. maybe the bad news is priced into the stock? who knows.

Stonehenge--- ORCL went up nicely today. I am going to sit on mine and buy on any dip of 2 or more which I do not expect. The news was out around lunch time. There was a decline and quick bounce back. The stock was NOT down graded--- Soundview left the short anmd long term BUY ratings in place. Still holding-----

I have heard from good sources at ORCL that ORCL problems are far greater than this earnings report. They are having real problems with the market for companies that are less than $500 million. SQL Server from MSFT is winning too many of the battles. While ORCL is a great company, it is at a pretty high PE. If the general database market is slowing, and they are losing the lower end to MSFT, things could be rough.

On the other hand, they are doing really well by attacking vertical markets by specialized product sweets. I think ORCL is a great company that may be in for some hard times over the next year of so. I was thinking of buying it during its recent pull back, but was convinced otherwise by what I have been hearing.

If it drops really low tomorrow, I am buying.

Good luck,
Dan
