NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Shares of Oracle Corp. (ORCL) plummeted in after-hours trading following an announcement the company earned 19 cents a share in the second quarter compared with 18 cents a year ago.

According to Peter Park, of PT Discount Brokerage, Oracle was the big mover after market close, falling to 30 from a close of 32 3/8.
