Chris, Good point on the grand total of all those non major OEMs and their purchasing power. Some of the recent data I've seen states that the top ten PC OEMs account for about 68% of the 14M or so PCs sold to consumers. However, of the 51M or so business PCs sold this year, "only" 45% will be sold by the top ten PC OEMs. So, the smaller dudes have about half the market. And let's just say cost is a factor to those smaller shops.
