What we need to solve is the problem that allows people to get free stuff from the taxpayers. When you do that, people will motivated to work harder, and make themselves valuable.

It is the taxpayer-funded payments that causes the "race to the bottom."

>But we need to solve the income disparity crisis. If unskilled labor goes to $20, you can be sure that skilled labor will go to $30. Otherwise they'll take the unskilled jobs. If skilled labor goes to $30, uniquely skilled labor goes to $40-$50.

>Right now it's a race to the bottom.

Right. The economy will definitely adjust to it if it's done at the right pace, and we really do need to solve the disparity issue. I think $15 overnight would work. But the wealthy hate wage inflation, and certain people seethe with rage here at the thought of anybody getting anything more than they already have.
