Seems like we were thinking along the same lines when we wrote the posts. I don't know enough about how the profit margin would affect the stock to go with the 19 or so. It would seem like the profit would be spread over a period of time and also if they go with the NEC version that may change things.

P.S. Japan's up about 3 percent so far. It's important as you mention that the whole market doesn't head south and we seem to follow the rest of the ducks! Quack, Quack!

Night Writer,

I agree with your numbers....and would like to add just a few things....$24 million is what the INS has to spend on the TP-600 class machines....and I believe they have already spent about $4 million....leaving about $20 million to spend.....and.... There is another INS project that nobody seems to be saying anything about. It has not been featured in any of the INS press releases....but is very real. We found out about it through the back door at a company called VideoLabs. They provide small video cameras for workstations. Here is a copy of the release that talks about the INS project..........The Touch Lock product would be used here.....but at 5 to 10 units per INS location, this will be about $ 7 million in product sales for IDX..........The INS business is greater than you or the market believes.

(the original company press release is now restricted!...this is an SI reposting of it.)
